Re-Appearing : 2010

At Silpakorn University Art Centre

Re-Appearing 2010 features the installation of two video pieces and the re-assembling of objects, rattan baskets and office furniture, that appear in the videos. The work is inspired by the hybridity and co-existence of urban and rural lives in the city of Bangkok.

In the exhibition at Silpakorn University Art Center, the artist also exhibited still images of the videos on the wall. However this photography part is not originally intended to be part of the artwork. It must be noted that when the work was re-exhibited again in "Cut Thru" (2012), the group exhibition at Lasalle College of the Art in Singapore, the photos were not included. The rattan baskets were brought from Thailand, the table and chairs were objects found in Singapore and two videos were set up separately.
