บทสนทนาของพ่อกับลูก : โดย วิโชค และ วิชญ มุกดามณี

ศาสตราจารย์วิโชค มุกดามณี และ ดร.วิชญ มุกดามณี เป็นศิลปินที่สร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย ในหลากหลายรูปแบบ จัดแสดงสู่สาธารณชนทั้งในประเทศและในต่างประเทศ เช่นในรูปแบบสองมิติ สามมิติ ผลงานแนวจัดวาง และวิดีโอ เป็นต้น โดยทั้งสองท่านมักได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากวัตถุสิ่งของที่ พบเห็นในชีวิตประจำวัน นำมาแสดงออกถึงประเด็นเนื้อหาซึ่งสะท้อนและตั้งคำถามถึงความสัมพันธ์ ระหว่างมนุษย์กับสังคมร่วมสมัยรอบตัว

ในนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ ศิลปินทั้งสองท่านได้ร่วมกันนำเสนอโครงการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรมเรื่อง “บทสนทนา ของพ่อกับลูก” โดยมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับการแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดของพ่อกับลูกที่มีบทบาทในแง่การศึกษา การสร้างสรรค์ และการทำกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับศิลปะ กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานในนิทรรศการ เปรียบเสมือนสื่อกลางในการพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนแรงบันดาลใจ ทัศนคติ ระหว่างสองคน โดยสามารถจัดแบ่ง ผลงานศิลปะออกเป็นสองลักษณะใหญ่ๆ ด้วยกัน

ส่วนที่หนึ่งคือผลงานศิลปะที่มุ่งเน้นการแสดงออกในลักษณะจิตรกรรมแนวนามธรรมและกึ่งนามธรรม การใช้ฝีแปรงปัดป้าย ระบาย และขูดขีด เพื่อถ่ายทอดความสัมพันธ์ ความเคลื่อนไหว และจังหวะลีลา การแสดงออกของสีสัน รูปร่าง รูปทรง และพื้นผิว โดยศิลปินทั้งสองท่านนำเสนอด้วยรูปแบบ เทคนิค และวิธีการซึ่งแตกต่างกัน ส่วนที่สองคือผลงานศิลปะที่ถ่ายถอดมุมมองของศิลปินต่อเรื่องราวและเหตุการณ์ จากสิ่งแวดล้อมรอบตัว มีทั้งเรื่องราวความรัก ความสัมพันธ์ในครอบครัว ไปจนถึงสถานการณ์ทางสังคม และการเมือง ซึ่งมีอิทธิพลต่อทัศนคติและวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตของมนุษย์ โดยศิลปินทั้งสองท่านแสดงออกถึง แนวความคิดผ่านสื่อศิลปะ ในหลายรูปแบบ ทั้งภาพวาด การผสมผสานเทคนิคปะติด เศษวัสดุ การจัดวาง และผลงานวิดีโอ

ผลงานศิลปกรรมในนิทรรศการ “บทสนทนาของพ่อกับลูก” บางครั้งสะท้อนแง่มุมของการเห็นคล้อยตาม บางครั้งเป็นดั่งการสั่งสอน ถกเถียง และบางครั้งเป็นเสมือนถ้อยคำปลอบประโลม ให้กำลังใจ นิทรรศการ บอกเล่าเรื่องราวความแตกต่างระหว่าง ศิลปินจากยุคสมัยที่ห่างกันมากกว่า 30 ปี หากแต่มีสายสัมพันธ์ แนบชิดกัน ทั้งด้วยสายเลือดและความชื่นชอบในงานศิลปะที่ถ่ายทอดถึงกัน

Professor Vichoke Mukdamanee and Dr.Vichaya Mukdamanee have created contemporary artworks  in various techniques, such as two-dimensional, three-dimensional, installation, and video. Their artworks have been displayed to the eyes of both domestic and international audience. Both are often inspired by readymade and found objects to create artworks that portray the topics relating to the relationships between human and surroudning societies.

For this exhibition, the artists propose to create the project titled “Dialogue of Father & Son” to express the exchanging of ideas between father and son towards the topics of education, artistic creativity, and other kinds of activities that relate to art practices. The process of making painting, installations, videos, and mixed media artworks is used to convey the narratives, inspirations, and attitudes between two artists.  The artworks in this exhibition can be explained in two categories;

The first category is the artwork that mainly focus on the expression of abstract and semi-abstract painting. Various expressive brushstrokes and mark making techniques are applied to create movements, rhythms, and compositions of colors, forms, shapes, and textures. The second category is the work that explores different experiences and perceptions the artists receive from the situations and stories happening in their current surrounding environment. The subject matter starts from the love and relationship in the family and extends to the social and political issues. This second kind of artworks are created in different media, such as painting, assemblage,  installation, and video.

Artworks displayed in “Dialogue of Father & Son” can be seen as the messages communicated between the two. They present the diffrences of two generations that are seperated by more than 30 years, but get connected by love in the family and the passionate in art.
