After Graduating from Suankularb Wittayalai School in Bangkok, Vichaya decideded to study art seriously and to attend the Faculty
of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Bangkok. In 2006, Vichaya received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in
Painting (with the First-Class honor), and began his career as an artist....Vichaya's artwork is always inspired by the
human lives, their relationships to one another, and to their environments. Most of his work presents the essence
and feeling that comes from the constant change in this modern society. He has used drawing, painting, metal,
wood and other materials to reflect his perception of life and society.

Vichaya is a young artist, who has regularly exhibited in both Thailand and overseas. In 6 years, he has joined more than ten group
exhibitions and had two solo exhibitions. The first solo exhibition was "City Life, Bangkok", at Thailand Cultural Center, Bangkok.
Another was "Combination: Vermont", as a resident at the Vermont Studio Center, in the US. A Freeman Foundation Full
Fellowship funded this three-month residency.

For the next two years, Vichaya will pursue his Master of Fine Arts at Pratt Institute in New York, funded by a Fulbright Scholarship. (to see his latest work click here or go to the GALLERY)
